Much has changed on the local, regional and international scene since 2000 when the Rwanda Bankers’ Association (RBA) was established, and 2009 when RBA was formally set up, to serve as an advocate for the banking sector in Rwanda.
Like elsewhere across the globe, the Rwandan banking sector is fast changing, characterized by new business models, increased financial inclusion, growing demand for financial technology services and innovation.
To ensure alignment towards the goals and objectives, RBA is guided by a 5 year Strategic Business Plan to be implemented in 2021-2025.
The association and its members are also open to building partnerships, cooperation and synergies with like-minded partners in the country and beyond for purposes of capacity building, experience sharing, joint advocacy among other impacts.
The association currently made up of 12 members will continue to act as a forum for the banking sector as well as to reinforce a reputable and professional banking sector.
